I'm determined to get some nice landscape shooting, but I must admit, i've been finding it quite difficult... at least with a bike, or plane or wildlife, you have something to focus upon... landscape is SO wide open it's unreal.

Well, after work tonight, I sauntered on out up the Surrey lanes to see waht i could happen across to "shoot" next time there's a lovely sunset... crossing a bridge that looked as though there'd be a river underneath, and thinking this could be a suitable site... i saw a railway line... hrumph... visor back down and about to pull away when something caught my attention from the corner of my eye... i looked again and realised that the dissappearing sun was glinting off the rials... could i not get my lid off fast enough!

The cop is fairly tight, and there's a lot of area to play with if you think this is too tight... i took out a uniform grey sky and a lot of trees off each side.

Apologies for the bad jpeg quality, it was shot at ISO100, but all the trees have made me save at a high complression to get under the 100k limit... as always comments welcome.

Oh, that is a neat shot . . . way to go there.

The sun on the rails looks nice but it also makes you think what a bumpy ride the passengers might have!

Neat shot. I think the crop is good.

cheers for the comments on the hot rails, i'd never seen anything like this and ... hopefully over the coming months i can start to produce some really nice/interesting landscape shots.

Fine photo. The comp seem fine. Maybe a touch on the dark side but still a nice photo.
