Very cool site indeed. I have one question for the lighting gurus about one thing I read about though. When they talk about placement of the fill light they talk about placing it opposite of the key light. For example if you are shooting from the 6:00 position and the key is at 5:00 then the fill is usually at 7:00. But I've always been taught the the fill is more effective from the same position as your shooting position. I know it is a 'light to taste' but when talking generalities what do most of the lighting pros here do?
The reasoning of on-axis fill lighting makes sense to me. If you shoot off axis fill you can create nasty cross shadows that the camera can see. Where if you shoot on axis the fill will fill everything the camera sees and not create any cross shadowing. I was alos told to try and make the fill look non-directional so it's best to put it up high and try to keep it out of the highlights in the subjects eyes. Anyone want to chime in on this?

Best link I have seen on the topic.
Very simple to grasp some of the principles in the various books I have been reading.
Thank you !
