Some rebel questions

hello guys, just wanted to let you know this is my first post. i am on caedes.net for any of you that know what it is :) thought it was time to join a forum.

well with my rebel, i was just wondering what opinions you guys have for the parameter settings. what do you recommend for vivid color shots? what is adobe rgb?

also another question. i am a proud user of the russian firmware, but does anyone know of updates to it? also how do u use ai servo with this firmware?

The only parameter setting I've changed on both the Rebel and 10D is to push the sharpness up by just one notch, everything else I find is just about right on, of course some may disagree.

For info about adobe/sRgb have a read of this thread (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=57096&page=1). If it makes no sense to you, leave it on sRgb. Color's pretty complicated.

10D on sharpness+1 is the same as the 20D default.

The hacked firmware's great, there haven't been any updates in ages because it works fine. You don't have AI servo on even the hacked 300D, you need a 10D or 20D to do that. There is a workaround, but IMHO it's not worth using.
