How is the lighting? Should it be brightened up a bit you think?

Ooooooh... gosh. wow... cute shot, but the color is painfully yellow. Are you maybe having some monitor issues? Not meaning that in a snarky way, I'm just thinking there must be a technical reason for the color being that far off?

I'm seeing the same thing, very cute but way too much yellow.

Yea, it is hard to edit for someone like me who has no real experience in editing. It was a very dark photo to begin with.
How is this one?

You should turn 'image editing ok' on ;) Your origional would be pretty easy to fix ;)

It used to be on and I never changed it. Sorry about that. Thank you for pointing that out. ;)

Maybe a pro will come along and give it a shot... but I'm working on refining my techniques, so I certianly gave it a shot.

I gave it a try, but I found it really difficult to drain the yellow without it looking too blue. I can see the blue in the whites of her eyes. Working with the original would probbaly be easier.
I used multiple layers... curves (2 of them), color balance, and selective color to grab as much yellow as I could. Still not perfect, though.

:o Not really! I still don't really like what I did. I do stuff over and over and over because I'm never happy with it. I just wish I had more pictures of my own to use. I get 75% of my practice just playing with the stuff that's posted here! :D

I appreciate all your comments and working with the photo.
I have a question while I am posting, What exactly do I do to resize a photo in Photoshop elements 5.0?

In PC talk ...use ctrl+Alt+I
That will bring up image size and you can set it from there.
Adjust DPI first then how large you want the image if you have constrain proportions on.
Or use the Canon Pro digital software to make bulk resizing.....that is what I do.
Select the ones I want to resize..adjust my dpi(96 is best for the internet) and then adjust the pixels to 800 for one side.
It doesn't take as long and is easy to put into a folder for uploading then just delete them since they are for posting anyways...
I have to say Skrim's looks the closet to skin tones by my monitor...
