The wife picked a flower this evening and asked me to photograph it. The problem with a lot of vivid red flowers is they don't always photograph that well due to the strenght of the primary colour. So with that in mind, I added a Bas Relief filter to the image to take away some of the power.

I was thinking that it was too artificial. but reading your post, I think it look like a painting.

Interesting shot...cropping it just above the tip will strengthen the image even further.

I left the crop Woolburr for now, but I did "coool" the image down a bit on the second processing attempt.
Perhaps you'll all find the result better?

HI Joel.
The light is direct from a fleurescent lamp from above, simple as that, with the camera WB set to the same.
