What a nice looking shot. Was the sky really like that or did you add it in PP?

Thank you. The sky was very overcast but didn't quite look like that. This was shot in RAW and I than after downloading, dragged and dropped it into photomatix and did some tone mapping on it to bring out more detail, sort of a single photo pseudo HDR. :D
I've found you can get some wonderful results doing this, than just some minor tweaks in PS or PSP12

My favourite thing about this photo was the small detail of the tractor lines that fit with your comp.
Great pic;)

I don't usually like this type of processing for this kind of pic, but I really like it.

Thanks all for the wonderful comments. This one came out even better than I anticipated:D, Has a sort of old fashioned hand tinted photograph look about it.

you're sky looks a bit over-processed.
good thing to do with overcast sky is just some basic burning.
ergo, you open in PS. add a new layer, fill with 50% grey and set the blend mode to overlay. than take a brush, set the opacity to 30% or so and paint the sky with black.
the key step is to apply some gaussian blur to the layer (10-15px) so the line between the sky and the trees wouldn't be as visible as it is in this picture, screaming PP.
the composition of the pic is very nice

Thanks for the tip. Truth is this is the look I was actually going for, I wanted the sky to look ominous and dark. You might call it a bit of artistic license.

I understand what you were going for, I do the same thing ( http://img369.imageshack.us/img369/1418/hnkzanabogcs9.jpg ), it's just that the border between your sky and the trees is too visible, and it looks a bit fake.
it's just my opinion, and it's as important as any other

Thanks Zacker and Justin, I rather like the sky and really don't think it's to far off from what you can see at times, it was PP's to add a little more interest and drama to the photo.
