Hi guys and girls. This one took a couple of hours of capture, followed by a couple of days of processing.

the movie is on the bottom of the page.

Hope you like it.

Ganymede ;)

Can't see the video... probably the dodgy work computer though. Photos on your site look good, though...

Cool piece of animation work but I don't see a moon transiting...?

Bottom third of the planet. The dark spot moving across is it's shadow on the planet.

Thanks Steve.

Sorry guys, let me clarify, the dark spot is Ganymede's shadow.

Cheers,

Baz.

Very neat, I should try something similar! If it wasn't so cold each time I ventured outside :o

Thanks all.

Mr. Timescapes, I have been watching your time-laspe stuff and it is absolutely brilliant. I gave that a bit of a go last year but this is all I got. After seeing yours I am inspired to get amongst it again and practice! THanks for that!

That's not bad there...the sort of thing I'm hoping to achieve, (though at my site I won't get such good Milky Way definition.)

I've got some ideas for timelapses with a difference though... ;)

A.S.I.G.N. Observatory, thanks very much. Shorter intervals between shots will help smooth that out.

Thanks mate. I see your Shutter speed is at 90 seconds and film speed ISO800. What is the interval between shots?
