I've seen some really super HDR from many of you and was pleasantly surprised to see Mitch doing the HDR thing as I have recently discovered this HDR world. I almost passed out seeing Mitch playing the same game, and a very pleasant surprise.

I purchased Photomatix very recently and I like detailing especially. Here is a composite image of the same Llama photo shoot from my truck window. Definitely nothing compared to what I'm seeing here in this forum, amazing stuff. I hope to learn as I watch.

Thanks Gary, I put the original in the shot together with the HDR in order to see if there were any benefits to this relatively new technology. Clearly, HDR deserves the caps, I could never have grabbed the dynamic detail without it. I also love the idea that one has the artistic freedom to "go radical" or not. That, to me, is a definite benefit because it expands the creative potential. Thanks for commenting, much appreciated!

Hey Norm, glad to see someone I know over here. Now tell me how the heck you did this? Is it from a single RAW? You said it's a composite, the same animal twice?

I have been hesitating shooting anything that moves, cause they don't merge well unless they didn't move a muscle. Especially things like the fall colors on trees.
