Just a few from the other night. I wasn't really there to shoot, but I figured I'd take advantage of the excellent lighting opportunity to play around with the 300 f/4L indoors and ISO 3200.

These are some of the best bball shots I've seen here. They are great!

Wow... I can't believe I never saw these pictures when you first posted them. Really clean, crisp images for ISO 3200. I take it you were sitting in the stands? Really impressive shots, good work.

Thanks Zamora.
Yeah, I was in the stands, in the student section actually. Since the students stand up the entire game, I had to back up about 20 rows so I could shoot over their heads, and was forced to mostly shoot the opposing basket the entire game because of that. That last shot was one of the few I was able to get of the players coming toward me.
I really didn't even have to use ISO 3200, but I decided to leave it on that setting the whole night just to put it to the test. I did get a bunch of overexposed shots which hasn't really happened to me at lower ISOs, but all in all I was pretty happy with the results.
Thanks again.

Very nice work.
I like those shots where the expressions on the spectators faces are as interesting as those on the players.

Wow those shots are amazing! Do you use some sort of post processing program b/c I can barely see any noise! Your ISO3200 is better than my ISO 1000 on my D60! Maybe it's the lens.. well done!

Thanks norcal.
I did use the new Noise Ninja plug in for Photoshop, but there really wasn't all that much noise to start out with. I suspect this is mainly because the Meadowlands Arena is so well lit.

where do you get the plug-ins? I have the complete program of Neat Image, but do not have a plug-in for photoshop. Maybe somebody could post a link so I could find the plug-in?

Zamora,
The new Noise Ninja plug in can be found here, but it's not free. I paid $80 for it, because I wanted 16 bit support. 8-bit plug in is $45:

Imagenomic's Noiseware plug-in is free for the 8-bit version:

Great shots. I purchased the 8 bit version and I'm impressed with the results of Noise Ninja. Cleaned up some shots that I had taken that were noisey due to the low light in the GYM.
