I was asked to take some pictures of the homecoming game for the yearbook and school paper. I wasn't sure if I was gonna be able to get on the field, so I took some from the bleachers in the students section. lighting was pretty tough for the equipment I was using, and I had a hard time getting good results. I like some of them though. here are some of my favorites.

Doesn't seem like the equipment is good enough to shoot in those low of light conditions. They're pretty good shots for a first time (my first time was just awful...), but you're really being limited by what you're shooting with.

yeah, my equipment isn't good for low light stuff. it was difficult shooting from in the student section too. these were shot at iso1600, f5.6, 1/160. I'm happy with the action I caught though, I just wish they were a little sharper. and I've done some editing since these uploads which are too dark.

for the next game, I'm probably gonna try to get a pass or something to get on the field.

Keep at it!

Next time, see if you can get a lens that is f/2.8 or faster. Shooting night football is tough, but at f/5.6 it is next to impossible. Flash may be another possibility for you.

Your timing is pretty good. If you turn on inage editing permission, maybe someone can help you brighten them with software.
