HELP! repair for S50

Well i let a friend of mine borrow the cam for a day and he dropped it and apparently got the zoom lens jammed and it cannot go back in. I need some help on where to find a nearest repair shop or any other info would be great. Thanks.

Where are you located ? check canon's website to find a service centre near you.
alternatively, call the store where you purchased it..

no no no no no!

i have a s50 i use as a walk around and it is beat to hell! been dropped a million times.

the lens likes to get jammed all the time. move the door back and fourth to get the lens motor going, and while its going, smack the bottom of the camera against your palm several times. it should go right back in (provided the lens still looks fine, as in its not physically cracked or anything)
