This is a friend's horse, he's been lame for a while so he's off to her parents' farm for a holiday to see if he can recover. She wants me to paint his portrait so I took a few pics today. Louis unfortunately was really interested in the camera and it was hard to get away from him.

And I thought this one was quite fun

I'm going to find his metallic coat quite a challenge I think when it comes to painting.

Thanks all.

Apparently she wants me to do more- she wants the horse bucking and messing around in the field so off I go to take more.

ooh and Kittygraphics- her favourite is the shaking head one- really hope she doesn't want me to paint that- sounds like a bit of a nightmare!!!

I'd take his head back to the jawbone in the 2nd shot & then just fade it out from there. That's got to be one hell of a job with all those little muscular details & that shiny coat you pointed out. Good luck with it all & it'll be really cool to see a finished product.
