I wasn't sure if I should post this, because, well, it wasn't taken with a Canon... I'm still waiting on the digital rebel to arrive. In the mean time, I snapped this with the rather bad p.o.s, err... I mean p&s ;) camera that I have now. You are all such a great bunch here and have been very friendly and helpful, so I didn't think you'd mind too much. :)

That said, I really like this photo (despite the less than great image quality) and wanted to share it and get some feedback on it. So, I'll compromise and post a link to it, that way you don't have to look if you don't want to.

The photo is my little girl, still feeling a bit glum after having a meltdown over one of those trivial things that I can't remember now, but that is so important when you're two and a half. You know... like having to drink through the blue straw instead of the yellow one.

I'm thinking maybe I should airbrush out the reflection from the snap on the blanket behind her, as I find it a bit distracting.

it's cool, but do you maybe have a colour version, that might look cool too?

Yep. Here's the color version. I didn't care for it much at first, but the more I look at it, the more I like this one, too. There's a bit of a haze on the picture that's more noticable on the color version., particularly around her shoulder/arm. This is the main reason I don't care for the color pic. I was able to correct it much better in the b&w one. The little p&s has a minimum focal length of 4ft (!), and I think I was just a touch too close.

yea I see a blue haze around the top too. Mabe the P&S is just capturing her arrora (she is feeling blue).
