I just got a used 10D and along with it came a Tokina 20-35 f-2.8 ATX Pro AF.

I have yet to use it as only received it last night. I was hoping to buy a Tamron 28-75 XR Di (or Sigma equivalent). Has anyone ever used this lense? Is it a good wide/landscape type lense? It seems very solid and well built.

thanks, A.

The AT-X Pro line from Tokina is generally very good, the lenses build quality is very close to that of the L-series from Canon (I have the Tokina 17mm f/3.5 AT-X Pro and it's built like a small tank !). The 20-35mm lens will not be very wide on 10D body with its 1.6 crop factor, it will be only 32-56mm. Only you can tell if this lens will suit your needs - just go out and try it.
