I went out today in the boat and took the camera along just in case. Turned out to be pretty fun. This is something you rarely see on Lake Norman. This was pretty tough as I was in 2-3' white caps in a 20' boat. Had to shoot at ISO 400 just to try to keep the shutter speed up around 1/800 to 1/1600. CC welcome.

Hiya Swede, I like the last one..so difficult to get decent shots of the kite and boarder.
I have loads of Kiteboarding shots on my website, please feel free to view,

Checked it out. Very Cool! I think those guys have way more skill than this guy did. And so did the photographer:)
I wish I could have gotten on solid ground to get a little crisper pictures.

Thanks speedy, I shoot literally hundreds of shots per session. By the way, were you using your 100-400?

Yes Sir. I took a few with the 17-70 but none really turned out any better than the 3rd one above. Like you said, it's hard to get the kite in and have a decent picture.

Like the angle of the third shot a lot. Cool to get everything into the shot with this sport. Nicely done.
