Taken near Steveston in Richmond on Tues. I can't beleive that out of about 40 shots they all came out blurry. This is one of the best.
Taken @ 300mm, 1/160sec, f-5.6 circ polorizer. I used a monopod. It must just be a crummy lens.

they have come out blury due to the low shutter speed, as you were at 300mm.

I have taken shots of rc planes @ 300mm and have them come out tack sharp.

Shutter speed of 1/160 may be OK if you have IS, otherwise can cause motion blur. The polarizer cost you some speed, I wonder if it was really needed.

I likely could have done without the polorizer. Maybe even go to 200iso for exrta shutter speed.
