I recently got a new Digital. I have just taking shots of things and decided to submit this flower for review and comment. Please don't hold back

nice subject and composition, like the dew drops on the petals.

what would make it better is if you could blur out the backround so the focus is all on the flower. Not sure what camera or lens you're using, but if you have what's called an "aperture priority setting" try setting this to a small number which gives a larger aperture and will blur the background - assuming you focus on the flower.

Play around with this till you get the effect you want you may end up with just the stamen (?) of the flower in focus.
