Hello All,

I've recently been accepted as a contributor with Alamy and I have a question regarding uploads; during the "Upload images - Part 1 of 2" where you tick the boxes, I find that when I select Next the page refreshes and the the boxes are once again unchecked.

It usually takes a couple of attempts before it finally goes to stage two, this happens in Internet Explorer and Firefox - Java is up to date and functions Ok, Java and Java Script are enabled and again, function Ok with other sites.

I was wondering if others experience this to try and narrow it down to an Alamy issue/bug?

Cheers,

Jason

I've never had that happen. Very odd.
You might have better luck posting for help in the dedicated Alamy forum on this one.

I think I may give that a go, bizarre issue if no one else gets this.

Try clearing your cookies and browser history.

I actually do that twice a day, believe it or not - Once when the computer is turned on and the browser opened and once at the end of the day.

I've been lazy so far and not registered for the Alamy Forum yet.

But thanks for the suggestion BOUNCINGNRG.

That really is odd. Is this still happening for you?

It is, still scratching my head over it.

I think I'll just have to put of with multiple clicks until it goes through, it's not that bad as it works. I've probably gone and jinxed that now.

I could understand if I had Java blocked, disabled Java functions, an older version and whatever else - But all is fine bar that one bloomin' page.

I have experienced similar on some sites and I have had to manually go to Tools> Internet Options> Privacy> Websites and manually "allow" the URL . This is using IE6 which is fully up to date.

Do check that out and see if it works for you also worth making sure for some arcane reason your Firewall or other Internet Security software is not blocking 'that page/action' for any reason.

HTH :)

hmm. no issue here. try going to a different machine. really, there's far too many variables on any modern computer to easily pinpoint an exact cause.

case in point: i installed the canon WIA drovers for my 5d on my tablet pc, and 2 days later pen input stopped working. uninstalling camera drivers restored the tablet functions... no reason that should have happened that way!

I'll have a look to see if I can allow all of Alamy in the browsers, all of my pictures are local at the moment but I could still check that page on another machine.

Cheers Both.
