the top corners of my pictures tend to be blurry. they are especially noticeable if taking pictures with text.

I once foolishly applied 50% rubbing alcohol to the lens, but i quickly cleaned it off.

so i'm not sure if it's the camera, or if I didn't clean off the lens completely.

does anyone else's a75 have blurry corners?

I haven't seen any such problem with my A70.

thats just a p&s lens for you. they are not as sharp at the corners as they are at the center.

you need to post up samples, and the f/stop used.

Just to be sure that your attempt to clean the lens with 50% alchohol is not a problem, you should invest in a small "lens pen" and follow the directions for its use. Never use volatile fluids for cleaning of coated lenses.

How will the f/stop settings affect the corner blurryness?

When I process my pictures in photoshop I notice the distorted
corners when i crank up the contrast or color saturation.

Every lens/camera combination has a "sweet spot" where a certain f-stop will give sharper images than other f-stops. This can change with focal length (full-wide or tele).
