Does work get in the way of you passion for photography? Do you see plenty of potential great events to shoot only to be tied down by the rat race!
It really gets me down, when i am not working and im looking after the little one. When i want to go out with the 20D i have to work.
What does a guy do?
For example: After yesterdays legislation banning hunting with dogs here in the UK about 5 different hunts are due to meet in Melton Mobray. It looks to be a great place for candids and sparks are sure to fly but I HAVE TO WORK!!!!! ARGH!!!!
Do you have this problem?

I feel your frustration. I'm a single father of a 1yr old girl and when I'm not at work, I'm at home with her. Since it's been pretty cold, I've been trying to keep her out of the weather so she doesn't get sick. I've had my 20D for exactly a week and I don't think I've taken more than 2 pictures of anything other than of my daughter breaking stuff or of my ceiling. I think I may have her grandmother take care of her next weekend so I can head to Vegas for two days of R&R.
Don't worry though, you're not alone! I'm sure there are plenty of us out there that have little time to go out and shoot photos. I'm sure there are just as many who have way too much time! http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif

I too understand! I'm in an office from 6:00 am until 4:30/5:00 pm at which time I go home to my wife and daughter. Thankfully I have a wonderful wife who know my passions and lets me take my 20D out for a test drive at least once or twice a week.
Slowly, we are getting our studio off the ground...but with my day job our only source of income it has become a very slow process.:(

You're definitely not alone, Jonny. I think it's a very common problem, particularly for those of us with children still at home. I guess we just have to enjoy - and make the most of - the opportunities we can find.
