I have been searching for hours and I can't find an answer...maybe I am missing something.

Does the TC-80N3 timer remote work on the Xsi?

Thanks,

CJ

Not without an adapter. The N3 connector isn't anything like the sub-mini stereo plug the XSi uses. And I don't know of anyone who makes an adapter. There are probably some third-party remotes with similar functionality but I got into DSLRs before Canon released the Rebels so never needed them.

Well, that sucks, anyone else know if there is an adapter?

I found this (http://www.werbeagentur.org/oldwexi/TC80N3.html) website, but I am not so much a fan of buying stuff from "some dude".

I have also seen some instances for modifying the plug, but I'd love a legitimate plug and play solution.

Better yet, here is my actual question...

I want a unit for my Xsi that has the same functions as the TC-80N3. I have read that there is a Phottix unit that comes with either of the plugs that is essentially a replica of the Canon unit, but I can't seem to find the version with the plug that will fit the Xsi.

Is there a unit out that that has the functions of the TC-80N3 that will fit the Xsi?
