hej,

I own a digital IXUS 430 and want to buy a second battery pack. I've seen on ebay a lot of offers for really cheap replicas. I know canon only recommends original battery packs, but has anyone experience with these replicas?

Please help me, I am going on a 13days hiking trip with no electricity so I need a second one.

I've been using generic batteries purchased off ebaY for several yrs now with no problems. I've bought and used no less than 10 different batteries for Canon S230, S400, S45, G3, G5, and now G6. I try to make sure that they come packaged in some shape or form and not loose without packaging.
