I caught this show while I was in Milwaukee for Harleyfest and I finally got around to process these today. He did a good job with a tough, drinking crowd. All shots were taken from a photo pit that was around 60 ft from the stage and it was just twilight so the lighting really didn't take hold until after the 3 song limit.

As always, critique and comments are appreciated.

no complaints here. you captured some great moments. they are sharp, well composed, and exposed. nice variety of the players. i don't think you could ask for much more given the setting.

Not often you see a cello! What sort of music/concert?

I would call Ajejandro's music a hodge-podge of American Rock influences. He's been a critic's darling for awhile and has recently gotten a top notch PR firm and management company working with him.

Cello, IMO, is the most sensual of all the stringed instruments love shooting them. Too few on stage, for sure.

Thanks for the feedback, Michael.

#4 is the best, good guitar neck motion blur (though a *touch* wider to include more of the drummer wouldn't be a bad thing).

I checked the EXIF and noticed the 1D mkIII..rental or new toy? how do you like it so far?

i think i'm gonna be shooting Alejandro in a duo configuration later this month.

You're really getting out there Tony... Nice set... I also like the motion in #4.

Thanks, everyone. The 1D MkIII was a rental, as was the 200mm f/2 IS L from lensrentals.com. Those guys rock. I tried a different edit on # 4. I'm not sure if I like it better...maybe if I had more of the drummer on the RAW file, but I don't.

Nice job!

I prefer the new edit on #4.

And yes the cello is great to photograph (especially with attractive females playing). I'll try and dig out some cello shots this week.
