Hi all

Well, as staed, i'm brand new at this forum. I've always loved photography, even though i never considered myself very good at it. I'm definitely looking to get better. I'd appreciate getting some feedback and learning the ins and outs of my EOS Digital Rebel.

Well, long story short, i had an Olympus C3000Z for a few years and it served me well.. until it fell and shattered the lens. This happened the nght the Sox won the World Series. So the next day, i had to pick up a new camera and knew i wanted the Digital Rebel.

Well, i haven't learned how to make full use of the camera, so that's why i turned here. and for some critiquing...

here are some of my better pics, when i had recieved a photo pass to a concert (by accident!) back about 3 weeks after getting my new baby..

and my favorite:

Well, the whole archive of pics i took that night can be viewed at:

Tips for shooting better in low light would be greatly appreciated.
(btw, the last two pics of the performance were with a flash.. a big no-no.. hence they are the last two!)

You lucky s.o.b. How did you "accidentally" get a photo pass to a Megadeth concert. Not a big fan of the band anymore, but still I'm jelous. The close up of Dave (the vocalist) is nice. I wish you could have got a little higher on the first shot w/the drums, I'm a little bias!! P.S. Congratulations on the new addition.

well, i was supposed to get normal backstage passes, right? so the kid ends up handing me like 5 passes when all i needed was 2. he then grabs the stack back, takes 3 out, and leaves me 2. one of which, i noticed was a photo pass. Luckliy, i had brought my camera along for the meet-n-greet.

So once i noticed that, i just grabbed my camera out, played it cool, and went to the stage side and waited to be escorted into the photo pit in front of the crowd barrier.

best night of my life!! \m/
