Would prefer less flare in this one but had I was fighting w/ focus anyway and had I moved the inch I should've moved to the left, I probably would've missed the shot altogether...

Very cute Jeremy! The old time processing on the first works well and the flare on number 2 isn't too much IMO.

That "old time effect" is just the use of textures... an image file made up of dust & scratches, or what have you... added as a new layer and change the blending mode/opacity.
