Hi everyone, I would like you to critique this photo from a color and composition standpoint. Does the color look too unnatural? Displeasing? Should I compose this photo differently? This is a (2500x2500) crop of a standard 10mp photo so I have some wiggle room to recompose.

Feel free to comment on anything else too. Thanks! ;)

The yellow is to saturated, it looks like that has blown out the details. Everything else looks good, apart from the out of focus flower that is a blur at the very front/bottom of the frame.

Agree about the yellow a bit over saturated but I do like the colors and tone of the overall image.

Omg, apart from the lack of details on the flower, either to much exposure or to much colour, it is an awesome picture

Techical perfection be dammed, I like it. I like it a lot. I like the tones, the colors, composition and bokeh. The over-saturation and lack of detail in the flower bothers me.

Yup that over-saturation is certainly a problem! I found its a problem with exposure (overexposed) AND the nikon "picture style" I was using (too much saturation). I've tried everything but I can't recover the detail in the flower; most of it just wasn't captured :(

On the other hand I thought it look sort of interesting to have a detail-less flower in the mess of stems and buds.

That may be the reason I'm also drawn to your image--even inspite of my being an advocate of the "cookie-cutter" outputs.
