Horrible Moon and the Jetliner

Here is a horrible moon pic from last night. I broke out the 13.1inch Newtonian-Dobsonian for the first time in a long-long while. It is in dire need of some collimation adjustment. That and I do not have the proper hardware for a camera. Ended up hand-holding a Pentax T-mount and eyepiece projector up the the camera. The eye-piece (26mm) does not fit the eyepiece projector so it is just *sitting* inside. I am holding the whole contraption up to the focusing tube. Needless to say there is plenty of distortions. But the MD-80/90 airliner just happened to occult the moon so I am going to show this monstronsity.

Taken with a 13.1inch F/4.5 stopped down to 5 inches.

Capturing the Jet was pretty cool. Would have be even better if you had the right rig.
