Well if anyone is interested there is a Canon EF 200 F1.8 for sale on Trademe (like ebay) it's up to 3620 NZD which is about 2500 USD, it within 15% of the reserve so would be an absolute bargin for anyone in the US or UK to pick it up.

Isn't this amazing I would have thought this lens being what it is and the price would have people running for their credit cards. I'm happy to help anyone purchase it if you are interested.

Even adding a 2x converter on that, stopping it down a wee bit, it would still be a fast lens!
Too bad I've paid for a holiday to Oz (leaving in a few hours).

But does it have IS?
That sure is one huge chunk of glass. Just the ticket for the indoor high school sports I shoot.

Wow!
1.00 NZD New Zealand Dollars = 0.553183 EUR Euros
That would be cheap. I wonder what it will cost come Monday!

Hey Guys
Just had a look at the feedback on this seller. 2 buys ... and 1 buy that was not completed... and no previous sales. 6 unanswered questions.
At this sort of price range even sounding as cheap as it is .
my thought would be proceed with caution.

2 days ago there has another 200 f1.8. And the seller is OK for pick it up personally, But the final price is too high than I rather pay for a new 300 f/2.8.

Wow, that was quick. I have a couple of bids in right now on other lenses that seem too good to be true, and both are from high rated sellers. They both end soon and both are 1/2 to 1/3rd of what I would expect. They will probably shoot up in the last hour as usual.
