I love the setting here. I like number 2 but I might would take a little off the bottom. Im a newbie but I think you did good. I wish fall would hurry up around here, were still in the high 80s!

For the first shot, I probably would have chosen them to wear something other than bright white shirts though; the level of contrast between them and the background is rather large IMO. It looks almost like they were pasted into the scene. I assume you used fill flash?

The second shot is nice. I agree about cropping a little bit of the bottom off. Also, the daddy's face should be brightened a little. A tiny bit of dodging in PS should do the trick.

You should also experiment with some minor vignetting, it might suit group portraits like these.
