Hey this is my first post on the forum. These are some pics that I took in Chicago. Let me know what you think. If the pics are small I'm sorry not quite sure how to resize my images.

number 1 definitely has potential with a little bit of levels for the bottom half

The colors in the bottom image are great but your losing a lot of detail & viewer focus because of the shadow, it's kind of distracting how the subject & foreground are darker than the background (just for future reference it's usually good to have it the other way around. the eye naturally looks at the brightest part of an image first).
The top image definitely has some potential as Subyn00by said, maybe try to work on that.
You have the right idea though, your eye can obviously find good images, with a little bit of practice I'm sure you'll be making those good images into great images.
