A strange and large hairy fly buzzing around my neighbor's yard. About 2 cm.
Interesting markings on its abdomen reminds me of bee stripes. 50% crop, 40D 100mm macro, 14ex 2:1.

A "FLESH" fly? That sounds pretty creepy! Do they bite?

No they tend to lay eggs on dead bodies.
