Just a short series... I'm kind of trying to develop a post processing technique (in 1, 2 and 3 in particular) but there's still something missing. I'm going for a sort of surreal look... Maybe somebody can offer some suggestions?

I think the car shots are nice, focus, Dof and exposure is great
but the building is totally distracting to me
A cleaner more neat surrounding would be better, or maybe a closer more tight shot to isolate the vehicle?
Un less the pic is intended to be used for a promo?

I agree with Borism. I'm going for a sort of surreal look... The Lambo looks OK, so I'm not seeing it. Did you do something to the building?

Nice lighting but I would say a bit of a extra bit would be sweet as a nut on the front bumper.

Building is a bit distracting but nothing to ruin the photo overall.

I suspect that a better location would give me more inspiration for getting the look I'm going for -- I want to give it a sort of gritty Dave Hill feel while still keeping it looking like a photo and not a cartoon.

As for these photos I definitely focused on editing the background more than the car.

I unfortunately wasn't able to move the car at all and had to make do with what I was given. Hopefully some day I'll be able to justify buying a couple of strobes to help out with those dark spots. I feel they would help immensely!

Hopefully some day I'll be able to justify buying a couple of strobes to help out with those dark spots. Be careful with that, but if you just want some extra light, any cheap strobe would work. These work pretty well: Simple "every-day-emergency" location lighting (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=66358)
