It was tough. The lighting was rather bad and the cars were rather slow (which might have been a good thing). So let me have it. Could I make a living at this?

They are pretty COOL images ( the ICE helps),fairly sharp too but don't give up your day job until you get more practice.Panning is difficult to get consistent results all the time!

Oooh, so I ain't that good huh? Guess I better call my boss back and beg for my job.

Thanks Jamie. I thought you might like them. ;) Although, McQueen is drifting just a bit. :p

Thanks Frank. I was surprised to see the sliding myself. I thought for sure they would have studs on the tires. Although at times you could see spots where the ice would "stick" to the tires so maybe just the one car didn't have them.

Take him. Only a couple parts are really for girls, like Tinkerbelle after intermission. It was a good show.

Thanks. The cars are smaller than normal cars. For instance there was a "miniature" Porsche that was maybe 2/3-1/2 scale.
Nice shot of Mater Mike.
Thanks Dan.

So are the vehicles real or are they mock ups? I have never been to Disney on Ice, or anything else except hockey games, that are on ice.

Otherwise good shots.

lol..nice shots!! I'm going to Disney On Ice this November!! I already have tickets ;)..Oh and I have a son so I won't be going alone haha!! :)..I'm sure the lighting at the stadium here might be different, but how do you think a 55-250mm would do?

They are maybe 1/2 to 2/3 scale in size. I believe they are electric as well, since they run indoors. Pretty neat honestly! Thanks.

Thanks David. You could be OK with the 55-250 although it will be hard to stop come of the fast moving stuff like skaters jumping. Bump the ISO as much as you can.

Thanks! :) Did your stadium give you any hassle on taking your camera? I need to contact mine and see if they would even let my DSLR in.

Nope, none at all. I checked online first and it said no video cameras and no flash cameras. I took my 30D, 24-60, and 430EX flash. At the door, I opened my bag going in and was asked if it were a video camera. I replied no and pulled the camera out for her to see. She said thanks and in I went. Nobody inside had anything to say either. :)
