Brown Pelican

This was shot on the grayest day. We had driven 8 hours south to the coast expecting sunsine. Instead, we got nothing but gray. The pelicans were everywhere, but this was my best capture of a brown in flight. It was taken with the DRebel with the cheapy 75-300.

PS: thanks, RJ. I think I may be getting the hang of saving for the web. (I won't say that too loud, just in case :) )

Very nice capture. You might lighten it just a smidge to show a little more detail.

Everything was so gray and dark on the day it was taken, I didn't even think about lightening it any at all. I think this is better. Thanks.

Not bad for an el-cheapo lens! I also like the lightened version better and on top of that, would be tempted to increase the saturation a tad.
