Welcome to POTN
You have some nice images there. Sorry but I had to convert the last two to links. If you will see the Image Posting Rules Link in my signature, you will see that they only allow for 8 images to be embedded by the OP.
Thanks for sharing these and sharing the lighing set up!

Nice pics.. How did you get the wall behind the G illuminated in the first pic? Is there a light behind the car? Also, I think you need more light on the rear wheel in that first pic.
What are you using for hosting your images? A couple of them look a tad distorted due to the file compression.

^ Wall behind the G in the first pic was illuminated by the flashes. The second was illuminated by the brake lights. Good call, I should have angled the flash more towards the wheel like I did on the front wheel
@Jamie: oh. my bad! Sorry about that! :)

Nice shots! Just wondering how you did the lighting in 1243 (1st of url links). Really like this.

Welcome back!
The lighting on #1, & partially #2 aren't showing much of the contours of the car. Take a look at the light on these:

how do you do the sweeping gauges and keep it so clean? i have tried shooting car interiors before witht he lights and i cant get them right. you use a long shutter and small aperture? 3 sec f18 or something??

Cool shots. 5 & 7 are nice and sharp. You might want to take the rest of the rig (on hood) out of shot 5.

Something like that for sure. my gauges sweep at startup which makes it at lot easier. I had a friend turn the ignition for me, and I had the shutter set to the same amount of time that it took to sweep (in this case 3.2 sec). After a couple tries I had the timing down good. Then yes, I had the fstop at f8. Was taken before I had my slr with a canon S3IS :)

I wrote right above the image "This was my first attempt at a rig shot and got too lazy to edit out the suction cups haha" It looked too hard and I didn't want to put any more time into it. The lines at that part of the car I thought would be hard to replicate and make look realistic. That was my first attempt, I'll have to try something a little different next time to make it easier to edit.

The lines at that part of the car I thought would be hard to replicate First select the area you want to work with. Then clone within the selection:

Thanks for the link. But it would be tough to clone as the dark line going into the front suction cup is getting thinner and the lighter line is becoming brighter.
On the other hand, this would be a challenging experiment! :)

nice shots.. they all seem alittle soft on my computer due to the compression... but I like the lighting on them all! Good job!

Just going through some posts and it seems this is a little old but, it seems like a couple photos are sharp. From what I've learned from FredMiranda, try at f./8 ish. It may show more detail in the car. But I could be way off. Nice work, I need to get some transmitters and extra strobes for these shots.

^ thanks, but did you mean a couple photos are NOT sharp?
Otherwise, I'm confused :)
