well recently a street cat gave birth to 5 babies in my landlords garage and he doesnt like cats and i love animals so i took them and the mother in to take care of them

i took some pics tonight to give to the vet to show people interested, and wanted to know what you all thought

some i love, it took about an hour to ge tthe pics, some are good, i didnt take out the bad ones...

but i was considering offer my service for others, this is the first time i have considered selling my work..

i look at some pics and think they are just AWSOME, good captures..

none of the pics are edited, this is with my 40D and 430EX with the nifty fifty. i know they are not perfect and i could of spent more time.

the mother cat is used to me now, she did take a chunk out of my arm the first time i went in the spare room i have, now 3 weeks later she lets me pet her, pic up her kittens and comes to me for petting.

So i guess i am asking, what would a good price be for animal photography, i am also thinking offering my services free or cheap for animal shelters to take pics and start a web site for adoption (i LOVE animals!)

so all thoughts welcome!

Maybe post one or two pics so that people can see what you've got... not much incentive to click on a link and troll through a directory with no thumbnails.

If you donate your services to a 503c rescue organization, your donation of services is tax deductible. :) Just for an incentive.

Where are you located? I can point you in the direction of some all-breed rescues and some kitty rescues if you'd like. :)

The kitties are gorgeous. Thank you for taking them in! :-*

living in Costa Rica, not sure what the equivilent here would be if anything, they dont have any government funded shelters as far as i know, they are all private,, you have to pay them to come take animals i recall.

i love #4 as well, i am taking most of those pics over to a vet's today that seems to be good at giving away kittens, seems orange ones are rare but popular and i have 2 so hopefully.

As much as i would love to keep them, i just dont have room and the mother does not like my dog or other 2 cats and my male cat of course hisses at the kittens if he can even see them!

They're absolutely gorgeous. I want them!
They have interestingly shaped heads - is that common there? Here cats tend to have quite round faces, whereas your kittens have long faces, if that makes sense?

apparently in costa rica cats dont grow large, they stay small, i have one cat that has a smaller rounder face but my male cat does have a very sharp longer face very defined.

personally i think it could be more because alot of cats here come from the wild and they are in far better shape then north american cats that tend to get pamperd and treated well so they tend to get rounder ;)

So any inputs on if i were to start offering work for animal photography?

They're all so adorable! Sorry I don't have any business/kitten advice but I wanted to comment on the pictures. The orange ones look similar to my cat :)
