Hopefully the photographer jumped out of the way at the last moment.

The expression on her face in #1 is priceless. That is total concentration...grim determination. Very cute, Marie.

thank you Tom
http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif

she was with her dad
it was a wet saturday morning
but the sun had come out and was shining extra bright right into her eyes
a little too much

I was cycling , coming from the other direction when I saw them coming http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif
thrilled of coursehttp://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif
I hopped off the bike.

I couldn't take the picture without my shadow in it unfortunately
I tried as best I could but not from where I was standing
also the sun being too bright for her eyes it looks as though she is scowling

but she is grinning in another picture.
and didn't mind at all
her name is Holly.
lovely name

Great shots, Marie. I'm pleased that you survived the encounter. I've seen similar expressions on my grand-daughters when driving something like that, but never managed to get a photo.

Just beautiful Marie shadow and all  . Love the expression in the first one, that tongue is just to cute, But I must say there is something missing, at least from this side of the pond all young female drivers MUST have a cell phone attached to there ear.   Course had she have the cell phone she more than likely would have run into you :( :(
Great cute shots. :)

Say, isn't that steering wheel on the wrong side for a car in your part of the world? Darned foreign cars.

And I thought it was only American women who drove with that "I'm gonna git ya" expression.  Reminds me of my daughter. ;) She drives like that, too. But she's thirtysomething.

Great shots, as usual. :)

she really tried to run me down

maybe it's ' thank goodness the sun was in her eyes'
because her driving was good otherwise

thank you Cash and Cageunphotography.

I used the sepia tone in that shot as the little truck seemed to be much too colourful when she was standing right up against it.
also I liked how the unusual buttons on her coat showed up in sepia

thanks againhttp://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif

i too have to go with the first because of her expression, but the sepia tone one keeps drawing me back. it looks like it could of been taken in the 60's or even before if not for the jeep.
i love how you turn something ordinary into something remarkable

Thank you very much wolverinesr 1
I like that one of her also although she looks a lot older (face) then her small body shows ( in that particular shot )

the angle I took it.. sometimes it can distort the body.
the car was way too bright right beside her
to make the story ( she being arrested ) her expression just then was different as her dad asked her to get out of the car for a second
the shot looked best in sepia (I think)
I loved the buttons on her coat too

she was smiling again very quickly

thanks again everyone

Hi Marie
I have to criticize your picture i'm affraid.
having studied it i note there is no road tax disc displayed on the windscreen, in fact its such a clear sharp image i can't even see a windscreen.
What i can see is the " wonderful world of children" captured so well in this shot.
the facial expression & the tongue just add to it, providing the extras to a great picture .

The first one is my choice
