I came across this free java application called JAlbum which I have been trying out and it seems pretty cool. It generates all the HTML required and displays the EXIF data, includes various templates (customizable), handles captions (inside or outisde of EXIF data) and is fast. Obviously you will need web space to store the final product.

Here's the URL

Wow, as long as you don't use the standard template, it looks pretty good!

One thing, I can't get it to change the output directory? If I select an actaul folder and click save, nothing happens. If I go into the folder and click save, nothing happens....

Agreed. I prefer the Geek template but I am working on my own. It's pretty easy to do so.

Yes, in order to select the output directory, you must click the folder and then save. However, you may have found a bug. The guy who wrote it is pretty great to deal with. I found a weird bug concerning date display. I let him know and he fixed and placed a new version up in a day or so.

Send him a note with any problem or suggestion. Pretty good for a free piece of software.

I downloaded the program too. Not bad for free. Only played for a couple minutes.
