Folks

I have been experimenting with a small studio i have set up at home. I'm not convinced that i have got it right. Any comments would be appreciated

Here is one of the pictures, the rest are viewed in my pbase site below under "still life "
Canon 10d, 17 - 40mm @ 22mm, iso 100, f22 @ 2.5 sec's

The background works very well with the shot and colors of the flowers really stand out. I think more stem and less blank space on the top would help the image. And maybe a bit less on each side. If you tightened in on the flowers it would focus attention on them better.

Thanks for your comments

Now to shatter your illusion , My studio is in the loft of my house. The previous owner put floor boards down and plaster boards on the walls/roof. The back drop is basically black material i got from a fabric shop which is hung up on a curtain pole. I have 2 interfit 3200 tungsen lamps and only this weekend bought a lastolite white brolly. I needed that to bounce the light as my kids were getting blinded by the 500 watt out put when i was taking their portraits ....opps :o
I need to get some different backdrops (on my list of things i would like) but having this means i can still pursue my hobby even when it is crap weather. Also nice to de-stress once work is finished

Personally i think it suits my needs as i am still learning but it gives me the space to try different things.

Cheers
