Looks good. The only thing (and this is just a subjective/personal opinion) is the clicking and pinging sounds. It's good for the first 3-5 clicks/mouseovers, but then it got old for me fast.

Very nice, Anthony!

Like the poster above, I rapidly tired of the sounds. I would strongly consider eliminating them.

Also, you might want to change the case of the tabs along the top. The rest of your site has a "sentence case", but these are in all caps. I think if you made the cases consistent and removed the sounds, the site would have less of a "template" feel to it.

im giving the sounds some serious thought. I agree about the caps lock I actually never noticed. thanks for the freedback

The sounds are nice at first but are going to get annoying shortly thereafter. Site looks clean, though, I like your layout.

I very much like the look of the site, but for me it was very slow to load initially, but fast from then on.

The site is very good. Did you create it yourself or use a web design service?

thanks everyone for the feedback, i plan on getting rid of the sounds on friday when i add more pics.
It was a template, then my designer made a few tweaks

Many people surf at work when they are not supposed to be. The sounds give away you are doing something you might not supposed to be doing.

I really like the layout of the site, nice choice. Not a fan of the sounds, though. Also, since you have that .com domain, you should setup an email account under that domain name and just forward that to your yahoo address. Looks more professional.

Definately get one sorted soon, as take that hotmail email address off your website. For me, personally that doesn't look professional - and I must admit, first impressions for me are a big thing (they have to be in my line of work!)

Hi Anthony i just had a look at your site and i really like the car shots.I was wondering about the shot taken throught the window in the RX8 whilst driving, did you photoshop this picture ? or is the driver wearing black pants and driving with no hands ?
just wondering because i can see his forehead in the rear view mirror thats all. otherwise i like what you have taken keep up the good work.

thank you!
i wish that i would have left my hands on the steering wheel now for that one, i thought it would look funny with them in it, now i think it looks funny without them, i had white shorts on and made them darker and my hands were away from the wheel for the shot

It's Flash-tastic! did you write it or hire it out? You may have a side business in there if you can template that site! thanks for sharing!

I still cannot get over the site design, it is really fantastic. Do tell the designer to join the forum and post here so we can hook him up with some more design work :).

not bad, i don't like the opening animation on your galleries photos though... also, i don't think i like that the thumb nail goes B&W when it is selected kida confuses me.

Ah yes, I forgot about the black and white thumbnail. I agree.

DonJuanMair
2nd of March 2009 (Mon), 19:51
the one you select goes black and white? how would that confuse you?

SteveNC

I think I selected it but it remained black and white after I moved the cursor.

SteveNC
2nd of March 2009 (Mon), 20:05
Actually here's the deal: When one selects an image the thumbnail turns black and white. The thumbnail remains black and white as long as the image is displayed. When one moves the cursor over another thumbnail, it also turns black and white. Now there are two black and white thumbnails, which is odd (personal opinion).

DonJuanMair
2nd of March 2009 (Mon), 20:08
oh i see.....i think the designer presumes you know which one you selected as it shows large on the screen, and your have a mouse pointer over the one you may select, pretty obvious i would have thought

What's the difference between portfolio and gallery? I like the site but I think you need to loose that tab and replace it with something else.

DonJuanMair

my portfolio will be coming soon, i just dont have enough to put on it yet, i intent to put work i have done for magazines etc on there. So far i have only shot 2 pictures for magazines

I believe you need to double check your grammar on your "About" page. The word "took" should be changed to "taken" in your last sentence below.

"Having worked in various industries I bring a distinctive eye to different areas of photography. If you are browsing my gallery you will see pictures I have been fortunate enough to shoot for clients and you will see pictures I have took just for the love of photography!"

DonJuanMair

Nice site, Anthony! Well done. The layout is clean, easy to navigate through and simply well designed. I too really like the car shots! A big fan here of car/exotic car photography. I just recently updated my site as well. I know what a pain it can be to tweak it, change it, and finally get around to having what you first envisioned. It's quite a process! Congrats on a great site.

thanks! i just changed a few pics on the site actually the car pics have changed a little

All the transitions get a bit annoying. The first one is cool, when you open up the page. After that, when clicking a link, photo, etc., it is ok, third time, ok, after that, it is just annoying to look at in my opinion.

I do really like how the site looks though for the most part.

One thing I would also do is change the order of the tabs. I think about me should go first.

im happy with the transitions to be honest and the order of things, cant please everyone :)
