Hey guys,

Well this is my very first attempt at any sort of work like this, in fact any sort of outside portraits. I have much more respect for you guys who do this sort of stuff all the time its so much easier at home under studio lights.

Quick run down, this is my sister inlaw and typically i don't do work like this however they had a mix up with there wedding photographer.. the mix up was that they did not get engagement pictures with there package and they did not know it until a couple of weeks ago when they called to book it with there wedding 2 weeks away. Turns out there wedding photog could not fit them in so they came to me.

It was made clear i had not done this work, had no idea what i was doing and i would gladly follow them around with the camera and take shots..

This is what i ended up with, keep in mind i shot these this morning and leave tomorrow morning for vegas so my mind really was not in it.

I think that in some of the photos they don't look like they were into the shoot at all. What I mean is it looks as though by their facial expression that they weren't having fun or comfortable having their photos taken. I think that engagement session is to show the love that they have for one another and the joy they are experiencing about starting a life together as one in marriage. The big questions is do you and or them see/feel those expressions in these photos?

Oh i agree, I know jordan really did not want them done, i think if anything he was more annoyed that i was the one doing them.. They could not find a photographer to do them in such short notice.

I said a few times while shooting that they where looking akward and she said thats fine..

I'd recommend working with different levels. They all seem to be shot from eye-level. They also look a little flat on my monitor. Some contrast/vibrance adjustments would do wonders to bring out some colour. Vignetting a little also helps take the eye away from the environment and towards them.
