I am still playing a little catchup trying to get the old posts in and getting caught up to present day so I can just post on a regular basis, but there are lots of good photos.

Cute baby! I just think the focus is a little off, though. Did you have your camera set for center focus?

Thanks, I'm kind of attached to him myself :)
I typically have it use all 9 points and I try to make sure it selects the rights ones, if not, i keep re-trigging it to get the right ones. When I have difficulties, I switch to center af (not very often, although this is kind of how I think, I try 99% of the time to focus the center point, then move my framing if I need, so I always wanted to use just the center AF, but I thought it was best not to).

It takes a lot of practice to get the subject in complete focus and the surrounding busy stuff to compliment the subject. I found that when I was able to get faster lenses, my focus issues were easier to deal with. But I have a lot of wonderful pictures of my 2 younger sons at pumpkin farms that I wouldn't trade for anything. So, keep shooting and loving the shots. They grow up way too fast.
