Hiya All,
Well I've so busy of late that I've had no time nor indeed the energy to do any shooting, I've also had a wee bit of trouble with my vision so decided to get my Eyes tested.
Well my prescription has changed & I've to have new Lenses ( maybe my shooting will improve now eh )
Whilst having my Eyes tested I was asked if I'd like a photographic record of my Retina.
So here are the results :D

Whether or not this is true Macro I've no idea ??
I guess I'd best say I have no connection whatsoever with Vision Express apart from being a customer & the credit for these shots goes to them.
Right back to rebuilding my decking
Cheers for now

Hey, that's pretty darned cool! What's with the darker spot in the first one? Assumedly the light spot is the optical nerve?

Hiya JimG, Anke,
Many thanks for your kind words & comments,
To be perfectly honest I've no idea what that light spot is, if anyone knows I'd be grateful to know the answer.
The darker spot is as a result of having the right eye photographed first, apparently it’s all to do with how the eyes react to differing light levels in each Eye
It’s not a tumour or anything nasty like that thankfully :D
Cheers for now

Says that the optic disc - where the optic nerve comes in - is the white disc.

Hiya Brian, Kurt,
Many thanks for your kind words & comments,
Brian,
Definitely interesting, I was quite surprised when the Optometrist asked me if I'd like a photo taken, never realised they did that sorta thing.
I'm pretty certain this is the equipment that was used or near as damn it

Hey, as the model do you get the rights to the photo?
Do not post another photographer's photos without permission from that photographer. Any photos violating copyright laws will be removed.
BTW, just got my eyes lasered. You might consider it rather than paying for glasses every few years.

For those interested the "light" spot is where the optic nerve splays out to the retina and the dark area is the fovea, where most of your color sensitive cells are that are responsible for the high definition of your vision
(the reason why when you focus on one line of text it is really really hard to read the words in the line a couple of lines above)
