Caught these guys sneaking through my backyard about half an hour ago. Man, this 580EX can really throw off some light. They were at least 100 feet away and it was pitch black. Is this the worst case of red-eye you've ever seen or what?!?! They are probably bouncing off trees right now with spots in front of their eyes. :)

Zombie Bambi's! That is a very large case of red-eye, but an amazing capture in all it's own. Good shot!

Congratulations! You've captured the rarely seen defense mechanism utilized by some North American deer. It's called the 'Death Ray.' If you had been twenty feet closer, you would have almost certainly been incinerated.
The 580EX saved your life.

The 580EX saved your life.I will use your quote in my defense when my wife finds out how much the 580 cost me. I will reply "But honey, it's the only reason I am alive today. If you don't believe me, ask Belmondo." :)

Glad to help. I've had to quote a few people myself, usually when the credit card statements come in.
