Dang....only one comment??

No, two!

Excellent captures! The fourth, fifth and last ones are my favourites there.

My favourite cars out of them are the '68 Barracuda (fourth) and '67 Nova (fifth).

Great shoots, unless you have tried shooting drag cars and getting them just as they leave the line there no way to know just how hard it is to do. I've found that I need to watch the light right with the drivers. Great work

Thanks for the comments. I never have tried watching the lights, I always watch for the cars to move and snap. I'm not sure about where your from but not all the racers leave when the light changes, some are kind of slow off the tree.....LOL. Once again, thanks for your comments.

I'm from Martinsville Va, This area is known more for NASCAR than for Drag Racing. I'v shoot round-d-round racing for years and can tell you it's much easer to do than Darg cars. As to watching the lights, I shoot just before the last light comes on and rip off about 5 or 6. Most of the Strips here are 1/8 mile and the top class's make 5 sec. runs. Again your work is right on. Thanks for sharing with us all.

great captures... i bet it was LOUD there!Yes they are loud, especially on the starting line, I wear ear plugs most of the time up there.

Thanks for sharing with us all.To me shooting the cars off of the starting line is pretty easy, your shooting with a fast shutter so all you have to do is wait for them to move and push the shutter button. The pans are quite a bit more of a challenge to me. I guess everyone has there niche.

Thanks for the comments.

Nice images. I'm with you on watching the lights. I only watch the lights until both cars are staged. Then I watch the car, bike, or whatever. I discovered that I use my ears much more than I would have imagined. Quiet cars can sneak up on you.

Same hear, I watch the lights until they are staged then start watching the cars. About using your ears if your shooting bracket racing, the cars leave off of different timed lights and the other car leaving can throw you off.
