Brighten it up a little, and add some more contrast. Cute kid and really sweet shot. Too bad it was OFF.

A tighter crop would be better so you can really focus in on your little guy. A little contrast and sharpening is all that is needed. I gave it a whirl but I am on my laptop with limited editing resources but here it goes.....

thanks for the suggestions. i will work on the contrast and sharpening. i did sharpen it a bit. i do like the tighter crop as well. thanks a lot.
