got a new camera and thought i'd post my first color photo right out of the box.
(except for the framing and increasing the size)

late evening - indoors ... so flash was used.

I don't think you could get much better for right out of the box. I think you got great color in this. Yes the flash is noticeable, and you can see the bright blip on her teeth, but you done real good here. You used manual settings, whcih means you already know some stuff. More picture taking is all you need.
