I have just stated a job at a new online jewellery/watch company. I am learning to use the the camera equipment, we have a cannon G9 and a photosimile studio. i am getting good results with the wates but am finding the jewellery alot harder, especially the focus and clarity. i was wondering if anyone had any tips??? many thanks

Welcome to POTN.
First thing is use a tripod and maybe use a smaller aperture which should get more in focus so should help to give you a bit more sharpness/clarity.
Then if you feel confident with photoshop, use some sort of sharpening via that. Maybe use the Filter>Sharpen>Unsharp Mask option if you have access to this program.
Just one of the many solutions people may offer.
