Hi -- my name is Kristin and I am a SAHM to almost 10 children. I just registered because I enjoy what I am seeing at this forum. I love photography, but I only do it as a hobby. My favorite subjects, of course, are my kids, but I take pictures of everything.

I have a film Canon Rebel 2000 that I miss greatly, but since I've discovered digital there is no going back (until I can afford a digital SLR.) In the meantime, I am making do with a Canon PS A570 IS. It's not a bad little camera, but I find that post-adjustment is necessary with most shots to make them shine (just minor "tweaking" usually; I don't have Photoshop.)

welcome to the forum.. you will have a lot of fun here, and everyone is so nice here.

i looked at your photos, and they are all so wonderful for your not so bad camera.

DSLR is the way to go.. i loved my film bodies, but as a SAHM too.. i found it to be too expensive to keep getting rolls of film developed..

have fun with those beautiful fall colors.. i hope they are still in full glory when i get to NJ in about 2 weeks.

Yes, I have a big lens for my Canon Rebel 2000 film SLR and posted about using it on a DSLR under the "equiptment" threads and everyone there said I can use it, so I am going to look for a DSLR Rebel when I get the money together.

I could see that some were w/the 570 and they look great (like the dandelion fluff.) It's great to see other samples of this little camera.

10 is only on the way? wow.. your tougher than i am. im a grumpy pregnant person.

plus im scared that im going to have another boy ( nothing wrong with them, but i need a new challenege ) lol.

the rebels are really great cameras.. i just upgraded to a 50D from the rebel Xti, and i loved that camera too. now its time to get more lenses for myself. i mainly shoot with a 50mm, and a 30mm.. those lenses are realy nice.

Thanks everyone -- yes, 10 kiddos and they are all mine and DH's. :) (so 10 pregnancies and births -- OUCH!) They are: 21 yob, 15yog, 12yob, 11yog, 8yog, 6yob, 5yog, 3yob, 1yog, due in Jan.

As for photography -- well, with that many kids the camera is always clicking and it developed into a hobby (plus I've been an avid scrapbooker for over 12 years.) It's also one of my sanity savers! :D
