Been trying to apply what I have learned on the forum and took this portrait of this local fellow that works at the Mobil Mart. I converted to B&W, cropped to apply the "Rule of Thirds"? Shot at 1/60, flash. iso50, F5.6 with Canon S1. Appreciate any constructive criticism...
Thanks!

Not bad. See the reflection from the light at the right? If you move so that you're at more of an angle to that area, the reflections will bounce somewhere else.

Getting kind of expensive to commit slow suicide these days.

And yes, would have been a much better shot without the reflection.

Thanks All,
Actually just 15 minutes across the bridge to NY Cigs are about $8 per pack!
I noticed the reflection after the post aside from shooting the pic on an angle is there a way to bounce the S1's attached flash? I tried once with a whitre index card but must have had the angle wrong - turned out too dark...

I lived in Oz for about a year. Lots of people rolling their own there (cigs, not something else). I live in Tobacco Road (North Carolina) and actually graduated from Richard Joshua Reynolds High School. I think cigs here are about $2.50 a pack. Maybe a tad more in a convenience store.
